Applied Climate Solutions was founded by three HVAC industry experts who wanted to do business in the authentic, old-fashioned way: by building lasting face-to-face relationships and focusing strongly on client satisfaction. 

Colin White - Principal

Colin White brings a unique combination of skills to his role as Applied Climate Solutions’ Sales Leader and expert in the design and building of new systems. As an account manager, Colin developed broad design/build knowledge, including complex central plant design, sequence of operations, national account management, contract negotiation, and installation and project management. Colin began his career in civil engineering, and he supported himself by supervising a land-surveying crew while earning his bachelor’s degree in engineering at Iowa State. This experience developed Colin’s construction scheduling and management skills at a young age, and his understanding of on-the-ground project realities enables him to manage projects effectively both from the office and in the field.


Colin is an active supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Texas and other charities, and he enjoys golf, hunting, and deep-sea fishing.

Nick Hanson - Principal

Nick Hanson is Applied Climate Solutions' esteemed specialist in building automation. Having earned his Bachelor of Science at Texas A&M, Nick has built up a distinguished career path in the field of building automation, having served as a performance contracting sales rep at large electronics and building automation company and as a building automation sales engineer for Trane. With more than two decades of experience in the commercial HVAC industry, Nick's exemplary track record in the commercial HVAC industry has seen him develop technical and project management systems and processes that guarantee successful project completion and exceed clients' expectations.


Nick is a dedicated golfer and also enjoys hunting and sporting clays.

Jeff Wagner - Principal

Jeff Wagner brings nearly four decades of HVAC industry experience and knowledge to Applied Climate Solutions. With a strong foundation in equipment, service, systems and applied solutions, his focus is on the development of lifetime clients and lifetime employees.  With over twenty-one years as an account manager for Trane and 18 years of contractor and representative experience, he is uniquely positioned to solve the ongoing issues associated with our industry. His attention to detail and his commitment to customer service and quality control ensure that systems work optimally, and clients are fully supported long after installation is complete.

Scott Huffmaster - Principal

Scott Huffmaster - Principal

Scott Huffmaster is Applied Climate Solutions’ Principal, focused on growth across South Texas and data center markets, including turnkey retrofits and liquid cooling solutions. Having earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, Scott has built a distinguished career path in commercial HVAC. He began as an Account Manager with Johnson Controls before spending nearly two decades in progressive leadership roles at Trane Technologies, including Area General Manager for South Texas, Director of the Sales Center of Excellence for Commercial HVAC North America, and Vice President / General Manager of Smart Services Commercial North America. With more than two decades of experience in the commercial HVAC industry, Scott’s exemplary track record has seen him drive strategic growth, technical excellence, and client-focused solutions that deliver high-performance systems and exceed expectations.
